That depends on your goals. If you intend to grow revenue from renting and you can afford a significant down payment on an investment property, this market could reward you. It may be harder to find mortgage quotes for a proposed rental property, and you'll pay more than today's best mortgage rates. However, the spread between a home's distressed sale price and its appraised value could net you a significant gain over time.
