American Dream Down Payment Assistance
The American Dream Down Payment Act is a down payment assistance initiative that allows grants to be given to participating jurisdictions to assist low-to-mid-income families and uniformed employees such as, policemen, firemen, sanitation, maintenance workers, and teachers who are employees of the participating state to achieve homeownership.

Homebuyer Education

Georgia Dream Homeownership Program Although the state does not offer a housing program specifically for teachers or first responders, the Georgia Dreams Home Ownership Program provides affordable first mortgage financing and down payment assistance to moderate income borrowers in targeted (mostly rural) counties and to first-time borrowers (or those who have not owned a home in three years) in any county. The program imposes family income and purchase price limits, with lower limits in counties outside the Atlanta area.
