American Dream Down Payment Assistance
The American Dream Down Payment Act is a down payment assistance initiative that allows grants to be given to participating jurisdictions to assist low-to-mid-income families and uniformed employees such as, policemen, firemen, sanitation, maintenance workers, and teachers who are employees of the participating state to achieve homeownership.

The Louisiana Teachers HomeBuyer Program provides low-down payment, low-interest rate mortgages for any certified full-time employee of a public school or district. Teachers are eligible on a first-come, first-served basis and funding is not targeted to hard-to-staff or low-wealth districts. There are no income restrictions.
